About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused CAD Technician to join our dynamic team at Longboard Architectural Products. In this role, you’ll be responsible for preparing accurate material estimates and shop drawings based on architectural files and specifications. Your work will support our commitment to quality and innovation while playing a key role in delivering an exceptional client experience.
What You Will Do
- Produce materials estimates (this is approximately 80% of the role) & shop drawings from PDF, DWG & RVT files (approximately 15% of the role).
- Produce install guide drawings, technical library drawings and other client related drawings in CAD & RVT.
- Handle administrative duties (e.g. updating digital files, answer phone calls, etc.).
- Coordinate with designers, technicians & other personnel to incorporate concepts & information into presentation packages.
- Review drawings with construction teams and engineers & provide adjustments as necessary.
- Aid in increasing & maintaining quality assurance processes.
- Maintain a high standard of product knowledge.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
About You

- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Building Construction Technology, Architectural and Building Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of advanced experience working with AutoCAD.
- Minimum 1-2 years of hands-on experience using Revit.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, specifications, and other construction documentation.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative mindset.
- Experience using estimating or markup tools such as Stack and Bluebeam is an asset.
- Knowledge of building envelope systems and LEED principles is a plus.

- Salary Range: $65,00.00 to $70,000.00 CAD.
