What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Manufacturing Planning Coordinator to support our fast-paced manufacturing department in Richmond Hill, ON. As a Manufacturing Planning Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring our subcontracted manufacturing components are completed within specification, delivered on time, and processed through our internal systems accurately. This is a day shift position.
What You'll Do

Utilize ERP systems (M1) to generate work orders based on supply, demand, and inventory levels

Communicate daily with manufacturing suppliers to monitor order status and progress, ensuring adherence to cost committed delivery schedules

Manage request for quotations, supplier quotes, and purchase orders within the ERP system, adjusting purchase order requirements as needed in accordance with company policies

Collaborate with manufacturing project managers to select suppliers based on their capabilities, capacity, cost and quality track record

Prioritize and schedule manufacturing jobs based on production requirements

Coordinate with departments including Quality Control, Engineering, and Project Management to resolve issues and provide updates

Identify and qualify additional reliable and capable suppliers to expand the supply chain
What You'll Bring

Degree in a related field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Machining, Supply Chain Management), or equivalent experience

3 years of experience in a production planning or coordination role, preferably in a machining or manufacturing environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret technical documents and communicate complex information effectively

Proficiency in ERP systems (i.e. SAP, M1, JobBOSS) and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Ability to work independently and make sound decisions with minimal supervision
