Bobcaygeon Brewing Company was founded to achieve one goal, to brew great craft beers to be enjoyed among friends. That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less.

We are looking to expand our team by hiring a Shift Brewer to help us produce our beer. This position will be based at our location in Peterborough, and shifts could include days and nights, weekdays and weekends.

Responsibilities

· Contribute to an enjoyable and passionate work environment

· Involved in all aspects of beer production from grain to glass, including brewing, cellar work such as transfers and dry-hopping, CIP, and packaging

· Be proactive in suggesting improvements in operating procedures

· Maintain a high degree of cleanliness and organization in the brewery

· Perform accurate and timely data entry and record keeping

· Perform quality checks in accordance with QA/QC program

· Work in accordance with company policies, including health and safety

· Perform other duties as necessary

Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

· Passion for craft beer

· Willingness and desire to learn and take on new challenges

· Be a team player with a strong work ethic

· Organized, self sufficient, and effective time management skills

· Creative thinking and problem solving skills

· High school diploma required, post-secondary education preferred

· Manufacturing experience - beer, food, and beverage manufacturing experience is an asset

· Science background is an asset

· Smart Serve certification

· Capable of comfortably lifting and moving 25 kg repeatedly
