Position Summary...
Brief Description
The Manager, Aviation Maintenance is responsible for ensuring all company aircraft are maintained in compliance with Transport Canada regulations, company standards, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). This role oversees the maintenance control system as outlined in the Company Operations Manual and ensures all maintenance activities follow strict quality assurance and safety practices.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing pre-flight, post-flight, and scheduled maintenance and repairs
- Being present for aircraft departures out of home base
- Managing aircraft parts and inventory
- Tracking and processing maintenance-related invoices
- Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with company SOPs to
support safe and reliable flight operations
What you'll do...
This role ensures quality assurance and safe maintenance practices for company aircraft operations. The role may manage and schedule all aircraft maintenance functions and activities, including inspections, repairs, and overhauls. The role also inspects critical items to ensure that all work performed is properly completed and approved for return to service.
Additionally, the role ensures that all test equipment and tools requiring calibration are serviced at regular intervals, maintaining current records of inspections and tests. This role may also research invoices for accuracy, approve payments, and review maintenance budgets and variances.
The role may be present for aircraft departures to assist the flight crew and meet incoming aircraft to receive reports from pilots. For maintenance issues away from the base, there may be a need for last-minute travel. The role also manages the aircraft parts inventory and maintains all relevant aircraft records, regulations, and documentation.

Approved Transport Canada AME License

4 years’ experience as a licensed aircraft technician.

1 year of supervisory experience.

Airframe and Powerplant license.

FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate

Experience maintaining complex jet aircraft: 3+ years

Familiarization with aircraft operated by Walmart Aviation
