Purpose:
Pharmacy Assistants work with the Pharmacists and Registered Pharmacy Technicians to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner while ensuring accuracy.
Location: Royal Drugs, Kingston
Reports to: Pharmacy Manager

Type: Part time, Permanent
Salary: Hourly, commensurate with experience

Job Responsibilities:
- Compounding Sterile Preparations in compliance with P&Ps and standards set by the company
- Calculate and supply clean room staff with ingredients that are required for compounding
- Labels final containers and packs orders for delivery
- Support pharmacists during the final check
- Calibrate, monitor, and maintain equipment inside and outside of the clean room
- Receive and place orders of medications, solutions and supplies on the shelves and maintain inventory
- Organize and maintain the work area inside and outside of the clean room.
Qualifications:

Completion of technical training required

Knowledge of aseptic techniques is an asset

Experience working in a clean room environment is an asset
Skills:
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy and productivity
- Reliability, strong communication, organizational skills, customer service, initiative, team work, sound judgement, i-interpersonal skills are essential
- Commitment to high standards
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work in a faster pace environment
- Must have computer skills
