The Ministry of Social Services, Community Living Service Delivery, is seeking a detail-oriented, thorough and highly-organized individual to process and issue payments related to Ministry programs.
The successful candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment in which a high volume of payments must be processed in an efficient and time sensitive manner. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and must display a professional demeanor when communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. The main responsibilities of the position include: receiving and logging incoming documentation; verification of information; data entry; processing payments; payment reconciliations and audits; and production of correspondence and reports. In addition, the successful candidate must be able to respond quickly to a high volume of phone calls and e-mails regarding program enquiries and payments.
Typically, the knowledge and abilities required for this position would be obtained through post-secondary training in Office Education, Accounting or Business Administration of at least one year, or an equivalent combination of knowledge and experience. Experience and proficiency in SWIN is an asset; Word, Excel, Access and Outlook experience and proficiency are required.
As part of the interview process, candidates will be asked to complete a data entry competency exercise and a written exercise.
