Job Overview
Working under minimal supervision, the Claims Reconciliation Payment Assistant contributes to Wawanesa’s success by providing Claims support to diverse Claims operations on a National Level to achieve business goals and service level targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Process claims bordereaux reconciliation payments for all National Programs, ensuring full compliance with financial controls and security measures.
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of information submitted by external partners.
- Conduct Reconciliation and routinely verify claims bordereaux to confirm the exact amounts owed, ensuring consistency and precision in all transactions.
- Identify and address inconsistencies in cheque requisitions and claims bordereaux, initiating reviews and taking corrective actions as necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation and track activities and pending claims bordereaux using ClaimCenter and Microsoft Suite products, including Excel.
- Engage in cross functional team meetings, share information and build valued working relationships within the team and across other departments to enhance collaboration and efficiency.
- Adapt effectively to immediate changes in business needs and expectations
- Achieves high productivity levels and works efficiently towards goals, targets, and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date of industry, regulatory and company changes or trends as they relate to Wawanesa
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years of claims insurance experience
- Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high degree of accuracy
- Ability to thoroughly and comprehensively review information
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide justification.
- Excellent communication skills, able to present information convincingly
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize appropriately
- Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Adaptable to fast-paced and changing environments
- Team player with the ability to work independently when required
