As a Video Editor at Cheil Canada you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our campaigns across various platforms. Your expertise in editing for web/digital, social, and TV formats will be crucial in ensuring that our content not only meets but exceeds client expectations. A nuanced understanding of advertising and marketing is considered a valuable asset for this role.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Format-Specific Editing:
- Edit video content tailored to specific platforms, including web/digital, social media, TV, and other emerging formats.
- Optimize content to maximize impact and engagement on each platform
Creative Collaboration:
- Work closely with the creative team to understand campaign objectives and develop visually compelling narratives.
- Collaborate on the integration of advertising and marketing strategies into the editing process.
Efficient Workflow:
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery without compromising on quality.
- Utilize industry best practices to create efficient editing workflows for various formats.
Technical Proficiency:
- Demonstrate advanced proficiency in video editing software relevant to web/digital, social, and TV formats.
- Stay informed about emerging trends and technologies in the field of video editing
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Video Editor with a focus on web/digital, social, and TV formats with 2-4 years of experience
- Proficiency in video-editing software: Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro, related plug-ins and programs.
- Strong portfolio showcasing successful campaigns in diverse formats.
- Understanding of advertising and marketing principles is an asset.
- Understanding of videography is an asset.
- Interest and experimentation or implementation of AI video tools (e.g., Runway, Descript, Pictory, Lumen5, Flux)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Education
- Bachelors or diploma/certificate in Film, videography or related.
