Join us as a full-time Senior Inventory Analyst!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintains accuracy of the SAP perpetual inventory system and keeping it in balance with the systems of the company’s third-party logistics (3PL) partners
  • Manages the distribution of inventory within the McKesson Distribution
  • Partners (MDP) regional distribution centers by reviewing forecast accuracy data and adjusting inventory levels accordingly
  • Ensures optimal stock levels are maintained across all locations for products under all business units
  • Develops, implements allocation plan and aligns cross-functionally
  • Manages an effective, ongoing cycle counting and an annual full inventory count program with the 3PL partners
  • Reviews business plans and utilizes modeling techniques to set inventory levels; determines the impact of inventory control issues on service levels
  • Identifies trends and opportunities, assesses risks and makes recommendations in order to develop inventory related contingency plans
  • Establishes the policies and procedures necessary to ensure that inventory performance targets are achieved
  • Works closely with various internal functions (Customer Service, Marketing, QA) to ensure items are in stock at all locations
  • Reduces inventory holding and scrap/write off costs by implementing control procedures and maintaining policies/procedures to manage the flow of inventory
  • Develops, manages, and publish monthly and quarterly KPIs as determined by company ISO procedures or by department’s internal measures
  • Identifies and reconciles out of balance items, determines causes for discrepancies and adjusts stock accordingly in SAP
  • Works independently in order to develop strategies to ensure proper levels of inventory as well as accurate forecast
  • Makes professional judgements based on industry standards and best practices
  • Supports management with 3PL relation by identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Leads and actively participates in development of department, cross functional and organizational KPI dashboards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum college diploma in Business Operations or equivalent experience
  • Enrollment in a professional designation program (i.e. APICS or SCMA) is an asset
  • Two to four years of experience in an inventory management or accounting environment required
  • Prior experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP (MM, SD, WM, APO) required
  • Flexible and adaptable to fulfill business needs
  • Driven to improve processes and takes initiative to highlight opportunities

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels both inside and outside the organization
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft® Office.
  • Advanced skills in Excel required.
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Power BI as an asset
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask and handle fluctuating workloads
  • Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
  • Excellent continuous improvement skills
  • Proven ability to adhere to standards and procedures and maintain confidentiality
  • Advanced analytical skills required
