We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Business Continuity Program! This role, within the Enterprise Operational Risk Management Team, will support OMERS in achieving the required level of operational resilience to be able to respond effectively to any business interruption event, with a focus on continuous improvement. This includes ensuring our people are safe, our assets secure, our technology functional, our communications clear and our operations resilient during a crisis.

We believe that time together in the office is important for OMERS and Oxford, the strength of our employees, and the work we do for our pension members. Our hybrid work guideline requires teams to come to the office a minimum of 4 days per week.

Job Description

As a member of this team, you will :
Develop, maintain and evolve program practices and process to ensure the enterprise BCP program remains current and effective, adhering to industry standards as appropriate, including documentation, tools, processes, and instructional guides

Support initiatives that continue to mature operational resilience of the organization, including vendor governance, understanding the impact of emerging risks and emerging technology

Identify and work to address the potential impacts of existing and new operational resilience guidance and regulations on the organization

Provide guidance and direction to the business to ensure their business continuity management processes are in accordance with the enterprise wide BCP Program and quality standards

Lead coordination for completion of annual business impact analysis revalidation process for all business functions, with a heightened focus on the most critical business functions, to ensure accurate business continuity requirements are maintained

Lead coordination for execution of annual BCP Exercises for all critical business functions to assess the quality and accuracy of business plans as well as document and report the outcomes, with a heightened focus on the most critical business functions

Liaise with Procurement, IT and critical business functions in the management of third-party vendor risk

Liaise with IT and critical business functions to ensure IT Disaster Recovery testing objectives are achieved

Develop and provide input on key risk indicators

Advanced level software customization skills are integral to the job

Advanced level report writing and presentation development skills are integral to the job

Develop, implement, and facilitate the BCP training and awareness program

Manage project and administrative schedules to ensure activities proceed on time and on budget

Work with each line of business to coordinate BCP governance activities

Provide support to OMERS Crisis Management Teams during the execution of the BCP crisis management protocols

Provide support to OMERS travel security risk management program including incident response and awareness initiatives

Participate in external 7x24x365 incident management on-call support

Prepare and coordinate BCP governance meetings, including consolidating and publishing meeting materials, agendas, and minutes

Act in an expert administrator’s capacity for OMERS’ business continuity platform and emergency notification tool

Act as an expert user of OMERS’ travel security risk management platform

To succeed in this role, you have :
Business continuity industry certification (CBCI or CBCP)

Expert level knowledge of and ability to apply business continuity management good/professional practices

3-5 years of experience in business continuity with significant exposure to the financial services and real estate industries

3-5 years of experience in a lead project management role with the ability to handle and prioritize a variety of activities

Advanced level organizational skills

Advanced level data gathering, analysis and management skills

Expert user level knowledge of Excel required, including advanced formulas and design

Expert user level knowledge with MS PowerPoint for the development of presentations for senior management

Experience with Power BI

Experience leveraging AI tools for data gathering and analysis

Expert ability to learn new software system skills at the expert/administrator level including customization

Excellent team skills, both as a leader and as a team player

Highly developed relationship skills with demonstrated ability to communicate on verbal and written form to a variety of audiences internally and externally

Excellent presentation and training skills, including development of related materials

Exceptional ability to remain calm in a high stress environment
