Business Overview
The Manager, Business Systems Analysis is responsible for mentoring and providing direction for the Business Systems Analysts within Fidelity Clearing Canada’s Technology Group. The manager will be responsible for executing the divisional business plans as well as managing the day-to-day operations. This includes managing resource allocation for projects, business systems analysis, functional testing support, software configuration, release management, and progress monitoring across initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience delivering application integrations and /or cloud solutions from a technical standpoint. They will also provide strong leadership by offering guidance, coaching, and removing obstacles to ensure the team’s success.
In addition, a good understanding of operational excellence in wealth management or the brokerage industry would be beneficial.
What You Will Do
- Work closely with direct reports and management peers to proactively manage resource pool to meet business expectations
- Promote excellence in business systems analysis activities
- Provide subject matter expertise in Fidelity Clearing Canada’s applications and related business processes
- Build effective relationships with business and Technology partners to attain a proactive approach to solutions and design
- Manage day to day activities of the Business Systems Analyst
- Provide team leadership to attract/retain high quality people
- Provides mentorship and coaching to other team members. Also provide training to enable other team members to meet/exceed expectations
- Coaching, Development & Performance Management: Foster an environment that promotes feedback while managing day to day operation of the team
The Expertise You Bring
- Knowledge of SDLC and Agile software delivery
- Application integrations and an understanding of API architecture and design
- CI/CD tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, XML and BitBucket
- Understanding of AWS and Cloud infrastructures
- Knowledge of Atlassian suite, JIRA, Confluence
- Effective coaching and leadership skills
- Proven experience in building and managing relationships with customers and team members
- Consults with business partners and team members in developing solutions
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A creative and highly motivated results producer. Able to deliver against business objectives and service standards
- Organized self-starter, with a customer service focus and ability to manage a team and complex tasks
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in Business Systems Analysis work experience
- 3+ years of experience in a leadership role, supervisory or coaching.
- Experience in the wealth management, banking or capital markets; Vendor management would be an asset
Education
- University degree or equivalent work experience
- Nice to have PMP designation
