Job Overview: As a Caretaker your responsibility is to maintain the cleanliness of all common areas of the residential building, as well as provide customer service to the residents when needed. Associates most successful in this role have keen attention to detail, a high work ethic, good customer service, and an ability to handle navigating computer programs. Shifts Available:
Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm Key Responsibilities:
- Tidy & sort garbage rooms, check for garbage and check lights for burned out bulbs in common areas of building
- Vacuum and clean halls & amenity rooms, maintain cleanliness of lobby, clean elevators and windows.
- Maintain log of any resident complaints or violations, view security monitors periodically, and act as on site point of contact for emergency situations.
- Scheduling move ins and outs in accordance with established procedures.
- Ensure storage rooms, mechanical rooms, parkades, bicycle rooms, hallways, stairways, and all other common areas are kept free of inappropriate items.
- Inspecting all common areas daily, taking required action and maintaining accurate records
- Maintain cordial, professional and businesslike relation with owners and tenants by being consistently polite, helpful and respectful in all dealing with owners and residents
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience with strata buildings is an asset
- At least one year of industrial/commercial/hotel cleaning experience is required
- Strong written and oral command of the English language is necessary in order to be able to work efficiently and communicate appropriately with our clients and our support staff.
- Good customer service.
- Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to clean and monitor the property including stairs, hallways, parkade, interior, and exterior of building; lots of walking.
- Ability to physically pull and manage garbage bins
- Ability to work in different environmental working conditions (wind, heat, cold, rain, etc.)
