Job Description
The Cancer Care Clinics at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital provide specialized outpatient treatment in a collaborative setting. As a Systemic Therapy Nurse, you will deliver safe, evidence-based care to oncology patients receiving systemic therapies such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted treatments.
Working within an interprofessional team, you’ll manage complex patient needs, conducting assessments, administering treatments, managing side effects, and providing education and support throughout the cancer journey.
This role combines advanced clinical skills with compassionate care, contributing to quality improvement and patient advocacy in a dynamic cancer care environment.
Qualifications

- Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- BCLS certification required at time of hire
- Baccalaureate in Nursing preferred
- Current Chemotherapy certification required
- Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience with Cytotoxic and/or Biologics Administration in an outpatient setting
- Strong understanding of an outpatient clinic process and flow
- Central Venous Access Device certification or equivalent
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and a strong knowledge of policy and practice standards
- Demonstrable critical thinking skills
- Ability to manage emotionally charged situations in a fast paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Understanding of CANO standards for Oncology Nursing
- CANO membership an asset
- Satisfactory employment and attendance record
Additional Information
REFRESH
Hours: Monday to Friday – Days; 0800-1800; 10 hour shifts (Hours are subject to change based on operational needs)
Salary: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour
