About the role
MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Field Technician to join our team at Hammond Manufacturing located in Guelph, Ontario . This individual will be Responsible for the safe and thorough cleaning of paint booths and other areas of a manufacturing facility as assigned while performing routine and out-of-scope industrial cleaning operations at our customer’s facility.
Responsibilities And Job Duties
- Using chemical cleaners, pressure washers, manual scraping/chipping to clean walls, hoses, windows, grates, lights, robots, etc.
- Grease rails and perform other minor maintenance.
- Vacuum and wipe interior and exterior of equipment.
- Remove, clean, and reassemble piping systems in parts washer.
- Clean building floors and walls by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
- Perform other specialized paint booth cleaning jobs as required.
- Lock out/tag out of equipment for safe entry into energized areas of the assigned areas.
- Confined space entry procedures for safe entry into confined space areas needing to be cleaned.
- Operation of cardboard balers.
- Filter changes as assigned.
Requirements And Qualifications
- Must be able to perform physical duties associated with Industrial Cleaning services, such as:
- Significant walking and climbing stairs and ladders.
- Lifting materials more than 50 pounds.
- Bending and squatting as needed during routine cleaning operations.
- Must have knowledge of all equipment used on the job as well as all personal protective equipment, safety supplies, policies, procedures and TIS’s;
- Must be able to take instruction and produce quality work safely.
- Experience working in a cleaning / industrial / manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning and janitorial functions.
- High School Diploma (or GED).
- Valid Ontario Driver’s License.
- Contractor Safety Training.
