About the role
The Account Manager will work with the CASE/AMA group, primarily focused on AMA (rubber, plastics and composites) with some CASE (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomer) markets. There will be an existing book of business to manage in Ontario and there will also be a regular mandate to grow the business with new accounts/prospects/suppliers. The Account Manager will have at least 5 years of commercial technical sales experience with a background in chemistry/chemical engineering/science. Experience specifically in rubber, plastics and composites will be an asset. Related experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants and construction will also be considered. Experience formulating products and managing the order to cash process in sales while negotiating with customers is key. Knowledge of warehousing and logistics is a must. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is needed. Experience working with suppliers and manufacturers in the Canadian market will be an asset. There will be local travel on a weekly basis for live visits with customers with some overnight travel occasionally. Account managers must have a valid drivers license and passport for travel. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a pipeline of new business using our CRM (Salesforce/D365) and working with Product Managers for regular updates/reviews with key suppliers/principals.
