Workplace Arrangements This role will follow a hybrid remote/onsite schedule. Applicants for this role can expect to work on-site from our Ottawa Head Office, on Walkley Road once a month on an 8-5 schedule.
This is a contract role from date of hire until October 31, 2026. The successful candidate will be an employee of Giant Tiger for the duration of the contract.

What You'll Be Doing
- Execute deliverables as assigned and collaborate with the team to enable a successful implementation of various Merchandise Management System (MMS) projects by ensuring deliverables are tested thoroughly, deadlines are being met while validating changes will not introduce any negative business impacts
- Work directly with end user clients to validate business problem along with proposed solutions and requirement definitions
- Analyze and communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software requirements. Develop specifications, requirements, diagrams, flowcharts, data mapping documents for developers to follow
- Develop test strategies, test plans and test cases. Execute testing as well as coordinate testing with the business team(s) while ensuring accuracy, accountability and traceability to the business requirements
- Provide subject matter expertise to the business partners throughout the entire project lifecycle including vendor selection, change management, implementation and post Go Live support
- Provide regular cadence updates and adhere to all formal project management requests
What You'll Bring
- A university degree or college diploma in a related field
- 5+ years of Business Analysis experience with strong business acumen
- Ability to map business 'As-Is, To-Be' process flow documents using tools such as Visio
- Excellent logic skills with the ability to enhance entire processes, systems, or products
- Proven track record of experience with all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Excellent communication skills including verbal, listening, written documentation, influencing, facilitation, negotiation, presentation skills for technical and business audiences regardless of level
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving, trouble shooting and analytical skills
- Team player with an exceptional work ethic, detail oriented, self-motivated and very strong organization skills
- Ability to prioritize workload and execute tasks and deliverables independently, providing timely follow up and resolution
- Fosters change, handles stressful situations well and always maintains composure under pressure
- Self-starter with high energy and the ability to execute on business objectives
- Thrives in a fast paced environment with the ability to adapt and change priorities as the business needs change
- Previous retail experience
- Previous experience with Quality Assurance in an IT environment
- Ability to work in French is an asset
- Previous experience with JDA MMS is an asset
- Previous experience with Jira is an asset
