S'more About The Team The Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing will own and execute strategy and operations for all ingredient sub-categories within Grocery (i.e. Dairy, Dry, Spices, Processed Goods, Baked Goods and HelloFresh Market). Reporting to the Director of Strategic Sourcing, you will be responsible for the strategic sourcing activities, the quality and sustainability aspects of our products and general management of our supplier network required to be able to meet our ingredient specifications. You will also lead negotiations with vendors, develop exciting new product offerings, and guide procurement process improvements. By engaging closely with suppliers, supply chain teams and our culinary department you will play a key role in building the best meal kit product in the market.

Lettuce Share What This Role Will Be Responsible For

• Refine and implement a sourcing and supply chain strategy for our Grocery categories that maximizes quality, reduces risk, and increases profitability
• Be accountable for category performance: delivering saving initiatives, ensuring on time/in full/in quality delivery from all vendors, supporting internal stakeholders to execute the plan. In general, you will be seen at the Subject Matter Expert across the organization for all aspects of the Grocery categories
• Develop a culture of continuous improvement, both internally and externally through strong vendor relationships, identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvements and implement best practice
• Build and maintain a strong supplier base that align with our company values; own relationships with our strategic suppliers, including performance management and innovation activities
• Partner with internal stakeholder groups, particularly Procurement Operations, Quality & Technical and Product, to execute projects and/or improvements from ideation to national launch to performance review; provide Project Management support for Grocery initiatives across supply chain
• Coach and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports
• Other duties as assigned by your manager and leadership team

• 5 - 10 years of supply chain, operations, management consulting or strategic sourcing experience with Bachelorʼs and/or Masterʼs degree in business, engineering, supply chain or related discipline
• Authentic leadership: direct communicator, able to build strong relationships across the company with all levels, coaching and mentoring employees of all levels;
• Great collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively work closely with cross-functional team;
• Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments at a time to prioritize and meet budget deadlines and achieve objectives;
• Top-notch problem solving skills - you can be creative, collaborative, and relentless to overcome any hurdle!;
• Strong analytical and data skills: you can translate numbers into action and approach problems with data and facts.
• Strong knowledge and interest in strategic sourcing and continuous improvement processes
• An entrepreneurial mindset and a passion for solving complex problems
• Availability to travel within Canada, and occasionally Internationally, up to 15%
