About the role
A career in our Forensic and Dispute practice will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients navigate various litigation and disputes issues. Our forensic and dispute specialists provide solutions and support for clients dealing with litigious matters, fraud, regulatory and crisis situations. As part of the team, you’ll help provide support to our clients by providing expert advice and opinions in the context of damage quantifications and business valuations in litigation and arbitration procedures, ultimately leading to expert testimony by a member of the team.
Meaningful work you’ll be part of
As a Forensic and Dispute Services Senior Manager (Bilingual FR/EN), you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Preparing high quality valuation or damage quantification reports for partner review and subsequent delivery to clients detailing procedures undertaken, results, limitations and recommended actions

Utilizing your forensic accounting knowledge and subject matter expertise to execute on client issues and challenges, including damage quantification, business valuations in dispute contexts, quantification of alleged fraud, conducting interviews of individuals and suspects, reviewing emails and other electronic records for clients using top of the line tools and technology and drafting deliverables

Assisting with the design and development of well-supported financial analysis to address a wide variety of legal allegations

Preparing working paper files with documentation of procedures performed and evidence obtained

Regular communication of project status to internal and external stakeholders, including serving as a point of contact with clients and overseeing junior team members

Performing client pre-acceptance procedures including conflict checks, client investigation checks and drafting engagement letters
-
Assisting with business development efforts to grow the Montreal Forensic Services practice. This includes speaking engagements and sourcing new opportunities by leveraging relationships and contacts

Oversee the communications with clients and legal counsel, including making sure all relevant information is obtained
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada

Strong experience working in a professional services firm
-
Proven ability to execute on valuation and/or litigation support mandates
-
Possess a CA/CPA or equivalent accounting designation
-
CBV or CFE or CFA designation will be considered assets
-
Demonstrated managerial experience including solving client problems, communicating with clients, facilitating decision making, documentation, managing client expectations and leading a team
-
Successful candidates will have a strong financial background, exceptional verbal and written communication skills, an investigative mindset, advanced technical and project management skills, an ability to evaluate business situations and a professional and personable demeanor

An ability to work under tight deadlines and pressure and adapt to changing priorities
-
This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation
