As a Parking Guard , you’ll be the person who identifies violations before they become problems. Working in environments like residential streets, commercial areas, and public zones, you will help enforce municipal parking regulations — ensuring safety, accessibility, and order across the city.

Responsibilities for Parking Guard
- Monitor designated areas to detect parking violations and suspicious activity.
- Issue tickets in accordance with municipal by-law traffic regulations.
- Document events and incidents by completing detailed reports and daily logs.
- Respond quickly to potential incidents or safety concerns.
- Conduct regular mobile and foot patrols to ensure public safety and by-law compliance.
- Enforce parking regulations in areas such as handicap zones, no parking zones, loading zones, fire lanes, and more.
- Use city-issued devices to scan PODs, take photos, and enter accurate data.
- Collaborate with municipal enforcement or emergency services in serious or urgent situations.
Qualifications For Parking Guard
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- First Aid Certification (required / considered an asset if not yet obtained ).
- Strong report writing skills.
- Good vision and excellent focus/concentration abilities.
- Solid technical skills and comfort using mobile devices and reporting tools.
