We are currently seeking a part-time Staging Clerk to join our team!
Rate of pay - $20/hour
Location – 41 Brockley Drive, Hamilton ON
Schedule:
3 days per week; Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday (two afternoon shifts 1pm-9pm and one day shift 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm). Must be flexible to rotate between shifts as scheduled. Plus approximately one weekend per month, Saturday & Sunday 8:30am-8:30pm.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Staging Associate is responsible for the efficient product picking and packing of all customer orders in support of sterile drug preparation. Under the direction of the Production Team Lead and/or Pharmacist, the Staging Associate accurately picks and stages all supplies as outlined on the worksheets, prepares products for decontamination, and inspects/labels and packages all completed production.
- Maintains inventories of supplies in the staging and cleanroom areas (drug preparation area) to meet production demands.
- Picks production components according to the appropriate production worksheet.
- Labels and packages compounded IV medications and homecare products to ensure proper identification and integrity for shipping and final use.
- Assist in the cleaning of equipment, totes and work surfaces, and maintains facility compliance with Calea standards.
- Maintains strict adherence to line clearance principles at all times.
Working Conditions
- Lengthy periods of standing are required
- 80-90% of the time is standing and moving to complete tasks required, using outstretched arms in front of the body while picking and packing
- Lifting is required of objects up to 20lbs
- 90% of the time concentrated visual attention is required for verification of finished product
- Routine, fast paced work environment
Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma
- Strong English communication skills required, written and verbal
- General computer aptitude
- Ability to multi-task; prioritize and meet tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Prior exposure to a medical production environment would be considered a strong asset
