About the role

Overview Celanese is seeking Millwright Journeypersons who will be integral to our project’s success, responsible for completing maintenance assignments to build, repair and maintain equipment. Your expertise will support a range of activities which are critical to the safe operation of equipment on the project.

Responsibilities

  • Operate rig equipment and dollies to move heavy machinery and parts.
  • Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts (often to within a fraction of a millimeter tolerance).
  • Align and test equipment and adjust.
  • Perform preventive and operational maintenance using procedures such as vibration analysis, and repair or replace defective parts.
  • Trouble-shoot hydraulic, pneumatic and programmable logic controls.
  • Tack welding and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.
  • Perform field work to a high quality and provide thorough follow up with proper and efficient documentation of work.
  • Perform proactive maintenance, trouble shooting and repairs for a wide range of Instrumentation and control equipment, such as Hydraulic operated valves, various pressure and flow measurements, radiation density Gauges, Radar level transmitters, CCTV monitoring systems, Computerized control systems.
  • Journeyperson will mentor apprentices respectfully and oversee their safety.

Qualifications Required Qualifications

  • Min 5 years as a journeyman industrial experience
  • Driver’s license
  • Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
  • Journeyman ticket from a recognized provincial training authority or Red Seal Journeyman

Desired Qualifications

  • ESC Confined Space ticket
