About the role
The Corporate Controller will play a critical role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency across the group. This individual will be a strategic partner to the CFO and divisional controllers, providing insights, analysis, and leadership to help drive financial performance, support acquisition integration, and align financial practices across the portfolio.

What you will do...
Leadership & Strategic Support
- Collaborate with the CFO and Corporate Finance team to drive financial performance and accountability across the portfolio.
- Partner with divisional controllers to streamline processes, implement best practices, and achieve group-wide synergies.
- Support the senior management team in setting and achieving strategic and financial goals.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to finance teams across the group to promote consistency, growth, and a high-performance culture.
- Maintain ongoing collaboration and communication with the CFO and CEO.
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare and review monthly consolidated financial reports across portfolio companies and platforms.
- Analyze and report on performance vs. budget, gross margin trends, and EBITDA.
- Deliver timely, accurate performance summaries to the CFO and Board of Directors.
- Develop and refine financial KPIs and dashboards to monitor business performance and provide actionable insights.
- Ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, internal controls, and financial reporting standards.
Cash Flow & Liquidity Management
- Prepare quarterly cash flow projections and monthly liquidity analyses for the group.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with bank covenants and financing requirements.
Audit, Tax, and Compliance
- Work closely with external auditors and divisional finance teams to ensure timely completion of audited and reviewed financial statements.
- Oversee timely and accurate preparation and filing of Canadian and U.S. tax returns and related filings.
- Stay up to date on evolving accounting and tax regulations and ensure implementation across the group.
Acquisition Support & Integration
- Support the CFO in financial due diligence, onboarding, and integration of newly acquired businesses.
- Align reporting, controls, and systems across newly acquired companies to ensure consistency and transparency.
Systems & Technology
- Lead or support the implementation and optimization of financial systems (e.g., ERP platforms) across the group.
- Promote automation, efficiency, and data integrity in financial processes.
Risk Management
- Support the CFO and legal team in financial risk assessment and ongoing oversight of insurance and risk management programs.
What you will bring....
- CPA designation required and a strong technical foundation in accounting and finance.
- 3-5 Years experience in a corporate finance or controller role.
- Strong financial reporting, consolidation, and analysis skills.
- Proven ability to work across diverse businesses with hands-on involvement.
- Experience supporting ERP implementations or financial systems optimization.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A collaborative and proactive approach with the ability to balance strategic vision and operational execution.
