About the role
THE TEAM
The mission of the Architecture Department is to unite the creative vision, precise technical execution, and coordinated project delivery under one strategic approach – ensuring every project is thoughtfully designed, expertly documented, and seamlessly delivered.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Aritzia is growing and our Systems Design team is growing with it. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the team responsible for translating design vision into technically sound, fully integrated spaces, ensuring all building systems and specialty elements are coordinated to meet project goals. As the Low Voltage Systems Designer, you will be responsible for translating design direction into clear, coordinated technical drawings that integrate low voltage systems - including lighting controls, AV, CCTV, and other specialty elements - into our retail environments. You’ll work directly in Revit, taking ownership of updates and ensuring accurate execution of system designs across project milestones. You’ll be expected to support the evolution of how we document and deliver control systems by reducing errors, improving clarity, and driving consistency across drawing sets. You will collaborate with the team on expanding the capabilities of our BIM platform, including database integration and management, with the goal of finding ways to automate and standardize design processes. In this role, you'll collaborate with system leads, engineers, and project managers while continuing to grow your technical knowledge across a range of low voltage systems. And, with the skills you gain in this role, the opportunities are endless, from a rewarding career in Real Estate to continued success at Aritzia.
THE ROLE
As the Low Voltage Systems Designer, Systems Design, you will:
- Translate designs and execute in Revit by turning control system direction into integrated, project-ready models. Updating the lighting, AV, security, and access systems while maintaining Revit documentation standards to ensure consistency and technical quality.
- Support low voltage system rollout by applying expertise in lighting control, AV, CCTV, sound, and display to ensure reliable, phased implementation across projects.
- Coordinate and lead technical reviews by aligning with engineers, project managers, and consultants, leading drawing reviews, and resolving gaps to ensure seamless, cross-discipline integration.
- Own quality control and documentation by ensuring accurate, code-compliant control systems documentation, managing version control, and supporting smooth project handoffs.
THE QUALIFICATIONS
The Low Voltage Systems Designer, Systems Design, has:
- 3-5 years of experience in low voltage systems design/documentation (lighting control, AV, CCTV, etc.)
- Proficient in Revit with hands-on-experience updating and managing drawing sets and families
- A commitment to learn and apply Aritzia's Values and Business and People Leadership principles
- The ability to collaborate fluently with cross-functional partners
- A commitment to quality and investing in results that add value to the business
