Position Summary
De Havilland Canada is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Creative Services Coordinator to support the development of high-quality creative assets across a wide range of internal and external communications. Reporting to the Creative Services Advisor, this role is ideal for an intermediate level graphic designer who is passionate about visual storytelling and brand consistency, with a strong command of both digital and print design.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with a particular focus on InDesign, Illustrator, and After Effects. In addition to executing a variety of creative deliverables, the designer will contribute to website design and maintenance using WordPress, assist with digital asset management, and support the broader brand and marketing objectives of DHC.
Key Responsibilities
Creative Execution & Design
- Design internal corporate and recruitment marketing materials including brochures, presentations, advertisements, posters, and branded collateral.
- Create visual assets for employee events, sponsorships, and employee engagement.
- Develop social media graphics, web banners, email visuals, and infographics that align with DHC’s brand standards.
- Design and prepare materials for both print and digital platforms, ensuring visual consistency and technical accuracy.
- Support the creation of motion graphics or animated content for marketing campaigns and internal storytelling.
- Assist in the art direction and visual planning of photo and video shoots.
Website Design & Maintenance
- Maintain and update DHC’s WordPress website, including layout design, content updates, and plug-in administration.
- Ensure the website is consistent with brand standards and optimized for functionality, accessibility, and user experience.
- Support the creation of on-brand web content such as landing pages, microsites, and promotional banners.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Reporting to the Creative Advisor and collaborating with cross-functional teams including Human Resources (HR), Health & Safety (H&S), the Executive team, among others.
- Interpret creative briefs, apply feedback effectively, and contribute to brainstorming sessions and campaign development.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality execution of creative projects.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of professional graphic design experience in an agency or in-house setting.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with expertise in InDesign and Illustrator.
- Animation/video editing experience in After Effects and Premiere Pro or similar
- Experience designing, editing, and maintaining WordPress websites.
- Demonstrated ability to work within brand guidelines and adapt creative assets for multiple formats.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (especially PowerPoint); experience with Microsoft SharePoint is an asset.
- Basic understanding of digital design best practices and web principles (HTML/CSS knowledge is a plus but not required).
