About the role

About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Manager, the Respiratory Therapist applies their knowledge, skills, and judgment in the provision of diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic modalities to assist in the management of cardiorespiratory and related disorders in collaboration with the physician and other healthcare professionals. The Respiratory Therapist also participates in the education of patients, families, and other health care providers.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Successful completion of a Respiratory Therapy program from an accredited institution
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Board of Respiratory Care Exams
    • If no applicants meet the above requirement, a Graduate Respiratory Therapist license will be considered
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Respiratory Therapists
  • Current certification in BCLS
  • Current certification in ACLS is an asset
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours

  • Permanent part-time position; 37.5 hours bi-weekly
  • Shifts include days, nights and weekends
  • Travel to various sites may be required

Compensation and Incentives

$36.69 - $47.15 Hourly
