Under the general direction of the Lead of the Customer Support Applications section, you will support Customer Support
Applications and other Enterprise Information Systems Department applications, integration, and enhancements by utilizing their
detailed understanding of data, workflows, and business processes. You will utilize your appropriate process analysis skills to gather
and validate requirements, design, prototype, and align functionalities to business capabilities, ensuring the business customer is at
the center of the design process.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for soliciting, modelling, and analyzing business processes; systems and requirements; and partnering with

business representatives, Solution Architects, System Developers, and Business System Analysts to formulate
recommendations and strategies for process improvement and creating optimal solution designs for assignments in the
department.

  • Lead the Business System Analyst activities for the Banner transition to a new system: Analyze current workflows, identify

gaps, and develop strategies for integrating into the existing new system. Ensure all stakeholders are informed and prepared
for the changes.

  • Create required documentation such as use case diagrams, business process diagrams, user-system interaction, blueprints,

RACIs, workflows, and functional specifications to support business capability needs.

  • Create impact assessment and system specification documents as required by EISD to document assessment of

enhancement requests, including estimation of the work, opportunities and risks with the proposed solution, and associated
system specifications.

  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with business owners and users and ensure timely resolution of business

process issues and validation of developed business processes.

  • Provide problem resolution and user assistance for system functionality, processes and interfaces for EISD supported

systems.

  • Lead testing initiatives and develop test strategies. Responsible for the development of comprehensive test plans and

coordinating the execution of system testing related to enhancements, problem resolution, and system upgrades, or other.

  • Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Continuously assess current systems and processes to identify areas for

enhancement and propose innovative solutions.

  • Research and keep current with new functionality as it relates to EISD applications/systems.
  • May be required to lead small teams to identify, prioritize, plan and distribute work, ensuring quality control, liaising with

stakeholders, and leading from a functional standpoint

  • Provide leadership and mentorship of staff.
  • Apply knowledge of business analysis agile methodologies to effectively manage and execute business systems projects,

ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • May be required to direct or participate in the development and delivery of end-user training.
  • Monitor and Report Progress: Establish metrics and reporting mechanisms to track the progress of system implementations

  • Provide Banner daytime operation support during the business day.

Qualifications:

  • A four-year Bachelor's degree (Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred) from a recognized

university plus a minimum of five years related business analyst experience;
OR

  • A two-year Diploma (Business, Information Technology or related discipline preferred) from an institute of recognized standing

plus a minimum of seven years related business analyst experience.

  • Good working knowledge of business processes, policies, and practices associated to the Customer Information Systems

space.

  • Demonstrated ability to perform key functions of business analysis including requirements solicitation, documentation,

modelling, analysis, solution design, development of specifications for system changes, development of comprehensive test
plans, execution and analysis of test results, development of implementation plans, data conversion, and creation of strategies
in support of the EISD department applications/systems.

  • Demonstrated ability to engage users in defining business requirements and effectively communicate/report findings and

recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple, concurring tasks, with the ability to pivot as priorities

change.

  • Possess strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams for projects or initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience with coaching and motivating team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in using Agile methodologies to effectively guide and manage business systems projects.

Salary Range

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The range for the classification is $41.98-$57.92 Hourly,
$80,437.76-$110,992.96 Annually.
