The Senior Accountant will work analyze and review financial statements using generally accepted accounting principles. Preparation of reports and summaries for management to track and understand organizational performance. The Senior Accountant will also work closely with others in the finance department to make recommendations based on analyses of trends in the data and other ad hoc projects upon request.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Reconciles accounts, posts journal entries, and maintains a complete and accurate general ledger in accordance with accounting principles and reporting schedules so that the organization has a full and accurate statement of its financial position

• Preparation of consolidated financial statements using Hyperion SmartView

• Provides technical accounting advice to functional or operational managers to help them develop budgets, understand financial reports, and manage their financial responsibility

• Oversees accounting operations, accounts receivable and accounts payable

• Coordinates accounting matters with other departments

• Work directly with the Corporate Controller on monthly analysis

• Build custom financial reports as needed

• Enhance accounting policies and internal controls; ensure compliance

Education/Background Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or finance required, Masters’ Degree preferred

• Minimum of 3 - 5years’ experience in Accounting or Finance

• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Strong computer proficiency (Excel); experience with Microsoft Navision or similar ERP system preferred.

• Highly preferred working knowledge of Hyperion SmartView

• Demonstrate a desire to learn, possess a good attitude, and work well independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent analytical, oral, and written communication skills, ability to exercise initiative, good judgment, and pay close attention to detail.

• Understand the relationship between Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and the general Ledger
