Position: Instructor, Digital Marketing & Office Administration

Program: Language & Career College (LCC)

Position Details: Regular (subject to enrolment), part-time, in person position at 15.65 hours per week starting on August 15,

2025, and ending on March 31, 2026

Location: Vancouver (Terminal & Welcome Centre)

Summary:
Reporting to the Director and under the direction of the Instructional Coordinator, imparts the assigned vocational skills to

adult international students, citizens, immigrants, and refugees while supplementing their knowledge and understanding of

Canadian workplace, social and cultural norms. Monitors student progress and submits reports in a timely and mutually

acceptable manner.

How You Will Make a Difference:

  • Prepare materials and lesson plans as needed and conduct synchronous hybrid (online and in-person) classroom lessons

consistent with teaching goals and overall program objectives. Adapt course material and methods as needed for

classes of up to 24 students.

  • Provide feedback to students, referring them to the appropriate resources. Resolve student problems in a manner

consistent with LCC guidelines and policies, proactively seeking help from the Instructional Coordinators as needed.

  • Maintain up-to-date records and files on students, as required. Conduct weekly new-student orientation. Submit timely

and accurate reports on students’ attendance, and evaluate weekly presentations, essays, and exams.

  • Collaborate with Co-op Coordinator and Program staff to ensure Co-op students successfully complete the study term.

  • Follow up with Co-op students regarding incomplete study terms and create learning plans to help students to achieve

course objectives.

  • Organize field trips, guest speakers and other career-related activities consistent with teaching goals and program

objectives. Document and evaluate these for future reference.

  • Collaborate with other Program staff and teachers in resolving common issues and creating relevant action plans for

LCC’s vocational programs.

  • Stay informed of current business innovations and career-related practices relevant to program objectives. Update

teaching techniques and methodologies as required to ensure that LCC operations and methods remain current. Attend

scheduled Professional Development opportunities.

  • Conduct course and teacher evaluations at the end of the term.

  • Participate in and contribute to formal curriculum review process.

  • In collaboration with LCC management, prepare for and participate in regular audits by various accreditation bodies.

  • Troubleshoot minor technical issues and refer to IT support when necessary.

What You Bring:

A certificate, diploma, or post-secondary degree related to digital marketing, accounting/bookkeeping, business administration

or a related subject, and 2 years of full-time work experience in an administrative, marketing or bookkeeping position; or 10

years of full-time work experience in an administrative, marketing or bookkeeping position.

Adult teaching qualification (TESL Canada-recognized TESL certification, Professional Instructor Diploma or equivalent).

What Makes You a Change Maker:

  • Proven ability to design and implement appropriate lesson plans for hybrid (in-person and online) classes.

Demonstrated ability to identify and address student needs within in-class, online and hybrid teaching models.

  • Experience with Microsoft Teams and online teaching platforms is a must. SmartBoard experience is preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal & written) skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to deal with people from diverse multicultural backgrounds and at various levels of the

organization.

  • A proven student-focused team player.

  • Ability to pass and maintain a clear Criminal Record Check.
