About the role
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to join our team in Calgary, AB.
Reporting to the CFO & Executive Director, the Senior Finance Manager will be responsible for overseeing and supporting the organization’s finance operations, managing forecasting processes, and contributing to strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day financial activities including accounting, reporting and controls;
- Lead the budgeting process, including setting timelines, coordinating departmental input, and consolidating budgets for executive review;
- Supervise and mentor financial staff, fostering a high performing team;
- Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial reports for the CFO and Board of Directors;
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives;
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and liaising with auditors, consultants, and legal advisors:
- Supporting the preparation of both internal and external consolidated financial statements;
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial planning and performance;
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of systems and procedures used to monitor and report on financial performance;
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Equivalent work experience in a similar capacity may also be considered.
· 3-5 years’ experience in a finance leadership role within the oil and gas industry or comparable sector.
· Professional accounting designation (e.g. CPA) is considered an asset.
· Proven ability to collaborate effectively with other finance leaders.
· Self-starter, with the ability to work independently, demonstrate initiative, and take strong ownership of responsibilities.
· Deadline driven with strong prioritization skills.
· Strong problem solving skills and analytical mindset;
· Demonstrates flexibility to adapt to evolving work environments.
· Must be legally permitted to work in Canada.

The Company is currently focused on executing milestone undertakings in the West Ells project area. West Ells has an initial production target rate of 5,000 barrels per day.
