Position Overview:

The Dual Dealer/Pit Boss must carry out specific tasks in the gaming operation to the highest standard of efficiency in accordance with the policies and procedures laid down by the Casino and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission (AGLC), and any other applicable legislation.

Dealers are responsible to ensure first-rate customer service and efficient table game procedures at assigned tables, as well, maintaining the general tidiness of their assigned table and at all times must be polite and attentive to player needs. Dealers should create a friendly atmosphere by welcoming players to the table, novice players should be handled with patience and understanding. The must identify players by using their names when known and if any disputes arise they must direct them immediately to the Pit Boss.

Pit Bosses oversee and ensure all game activities and transactions are carried out professionally, efficiently and where applicable, verified with signatures. They are jointly responsible for the correct accounting of money transactions within the live games department and the issue of all legally required information in regards to table results. They must reports all incidents to the Supervisor and/or Casino Shift Manager respectively in accordance with operating procedures. They must report any suspicious guest-behavior that may hinder the implementation of licensing requirements and/or incur liabilities (trespass, money laundering, social obligations) to the Supervisor or the Casino Shift Manager respectively.

Education and Experience:

• Must be at least Dealer 3
• Maintain a valid AGLC licence and pass a criminal record check

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Thorough knowledge of the AGLC terms and conditions, approved games and game procedures, and any applicable legislation
• Must be available to work all shifts, days and nights
• Excellent communication, negotiating, and conversational skills
• Must be accurate and detail oriented
