About the role
Our government client is seeking an experienced Life Cycle Management Specialist (LCMS) to support the management and sustainment of critical aviation and search and rescue equipment. This role ensures equipment safety, performance, and availability through effective life cycle practices.
Contract: Three (3) years initial contract plus option extensions
Location: Hybrid
Language: English Essential
Clearance: Secret level
Tasks
- Perform life cycle cost analysis and recommend efficiency improvements
- Support development of equipment requirements, specifications, and testing procedures
- Maintain accurate data and technical documentation in designated systems
- Liaise with users and stakeholders to coordinate equipment support and delivery
- Ensure compliance with regulations and contribute to audits and investigations
- Monitor in-service equipment performance and analyze trends
- Review and implement approved engineering changes and maintenance policies
- Provide timely reports, recommendations, and technical assistance as required
- Participate in meetings, reviews, and cross-functional decision-making
Qualifications
- University degree or College/CEGEP diploma in a relevant field
- At least four (4) years of recent experience in aviation or search and rescue life cycle management
- At least five (5) years supporting search and rescue (SAR) operations, including parachute packing
- Experience managing SAR equipment such as parachutes, survival kits, harnesses, and rescue tools
- Skilled in using management information, cost evaluation and logistics systems
- Strong technical writing, documentation, and independent work skills
- Must have a Secret level of security clearance
- Willingness to travel and work on-site or at designated locations
