About the role

What You’ll Get To Do The Metal Door/Storefront Fabricator is focused on the general fabrication and assembly of doors/framing using hand, power tools and fabrication equipment, while producing a high-end product safely and reports to the Fabrication Lead Hand . This role is perfect for an individual who pays attention to details, a team player, and loves to build . A vital member of the Fabrication Department this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Safely perform work as assigned by Lead Hand in a timely manner.
  • By referring to the fabrication package, locate specific product in the facility, to cut and prepare for assembly.
  • Handle product in a manner that will not cause damage to the product or injury to self or others.
  • Recognize product defects and notify management team immediately of any issues.
  • Read, understand and communicate paperwork and labels.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience reading and understanding fabrication drawings.
  • Experience using powered industrial tools and taking precise measurements.
  • Regular and predictable attendance; safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.
  • Responsive to change in priorities and immediate demands.
  • Possess organizational skills.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk on concrete floor for eight or more hours.
  • Must be able to wear company issued PPE.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs regularly.
  • Be able to remain in an upright position for long periods of time.
  • Daily and/or weekly overtime available but not required.
