Responsibilities Tasks
- Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls and sweet goods, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders
- Prepare pastry for special occasions, such as weddings and birthdays
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Prepare special orders
- Supervise baking personnel and kitchen staff
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
- Train staff
- Operate machinery
- Organize and maintain inventory
- Oversee sales and merchandising of baked goods
About Bao Sandwich Bar
Bao Sandwich Bar is a new local sandwich shop located near Wilfrid Laurier University. Our restaurant specializes in Banh Mi (Vietnamese sandwiches) and Bao (Chinese buns), and we are looking for motivated and hardworking individuals to join our growing team.
Responsibilities include: -taking customer orders with efficiency -multitasking and staying organized -maintaining cleanliness for the storefront -be a good team player in helping others
Skills required for this position: -some customer service experience an asset (but not required) -strong customer service skills (communication and competence) -attention to detail -handles pressure well in a fast-paced environment -can work well alone, as well as with a team
