Overview of the Role & Team
Have you been looking to work for a reputable company that impacts people’s lives? ILAC is hiring Facilities Assistant for our Vancouver Campus.
This role is responsible for resolving maintenance and facilities related issues and overseeing the upkeep of our campuses to ensure boutique-style outlook.
We are looking for a person who can perform small repairs, responsible and results-oriented, with a pro-active and friendly approach, and a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform daily campuses’ inspections on ongoing basis; identify and resolve maintenance and facilities problems;
- Maintain and respond to all incoming facilities requests;
- Perform small repairs;
- Daily building walk through for site maintenance, cleanliness and organization;
- Assist with deliveries and installation of new furniture;
- Perform moves needed;
- Cleaning of all common area floors, doors, windows, interior walls as may be needed;
- Cleaning of outer areas as may be needed;
- Emptying of trash bins, waste containers and recycle bins as may be needed;
- May be required to move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies;
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas;
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 11;
- Working experience in a similar operating and maintenance role is an asset;
- Ability to perform small repairs;
- General maintenance skills;
- Superior customer service and time management;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
- Proactive and solution-oriented;
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently;
- Computer proficiency, Microsoft Office, Excel, Word;
- Lifting or moving up to 50lbs will be required.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45am to 4:15pm or 9:30am to 6:00pm
