Primary Responsibilities The primary responsibility for the position is to maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse and contribute to a clean and safe working environment. This is a unionized position working with Teamsters Local 213. Essential Functions

  • Support and participate in food safety programs including SQF (Safe Quality Food)
  • General maintenance, cleaning, and preventative maintenance to include, but not limited to, sweeping and cleaning floors, collection and removal of trash, and dusting.
  • Clean product spills in warehouse isles as needed.
  • Remove product from floor level slots and double deep slots to ensure slot floor is clean of debris.
  • Operate trash compactor, empty trash containers.
  • While following safety procedures, ensure all cleaning materials are kept in a well-marked, ventilated area.
  • Operate powered equipment such as a forklift and scrubber.
  • Keep trash compactor area clean and free of excess debris.
  • Periodically of wiping/dusting the upright beam within the reach of arm-length height
  • Other duties and special projects as requested.
  • Must maintain good attendance, safe work practices and maintain safeguards of confidential company information.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Previous experience operating power industrial equipment (e.g. – pallet jacks, floor scrubber,) preferred.
  • The associate should communicate well with internal customers and management.
  • Ability to efficiently work independently of direct supervision. Must be able to carry, lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • The associate is frequently required to stand, walk, and climb while performing the duties of this position. The associate is subject to a warehouse environment where temperatures can vary from very cool to very warm. The associate is also exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise levels in the work environment are typically low to moderate.
