Position Summary DoctorCare is looking for a medical billing agent to join its industry leading Client Success team to help provide exceptional guidance and support, as well as positive experiences for our growing customer base.

To succeed in this role, you need to be smart, show initiative and be a good learner. You need to excel at engaging with clients, have strong attention to detail and data entry, while balancing multiple projects and priorities. In your role, you will have direct, meaningful coaching from industry experts to improve your skills and plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn about Canada's health care systems while developing customer service and business skills; assets that will last throughout a career.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Use your analytical skills to identify billing & revenue opportunities for customers
  • Support the day-to-day delivery of DoctorCare’s Billing Care Service by submitting, updating and reconciling billing claims and errors within EMRs and DoctorCare’s proprietary billing software
  • Liaise with the Ministry of Health to help customers answer questions and resolve billing errors
  • Use your keen attention to detail to help customers complete government paperwork accurately and on-time
  • Leverage your great customer service skills to maintain positive relationships with customers by answering questions about DoctorCare services and inbound inquiries through our customer support channels
  • Help DoctorCare continue to innovate our service offering by listening to customer needs and making thoughtful suggestions to the team
  • Look for ways to streamline our service delivery by always thinking “Is there a better way?”
  • Monitor KPIs and customer satisfaction feedback across all services

You Have

  • Experience in medical billing and working within EMRs in Ontario is desired
  • Knowledge of the health system is considered an asset
  • Experience with customer service and data entry is beneficial
  • Experience with any of the following tools is also beneficial: Microsoft Excel, Salesforce, EMRs, medical billing software
  • Resourceful: Able to learn independently and use new knowledge to solve problems.
  • Honest: Able to acknowledge mistakes and always does one’s best to operate with the highest degree of integrity.
  • Humble: Able to remove ego from discussion to identify the best solution to a problem. Able to honestly reflect on one’s own weakness and look for ways to improve.
  • Smart: Able to quickly apply new knowledge to foreign situations.

The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
