Position Summary JOB DESCRIPTION River Rock Casino Resort is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented individual to fill the role of Shift Manager, Food & Beverage. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day activities of the Food and Beverage operation(s) or Bar Operations on a shift basis while establishing a safe and welcoming work environment for all employees. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the planning and directing of F&B operations, ensuring adherence to all policies and procedures, maintaining food and beverage labour costs, sources out new products and services, motivates and leads by example and provides a learning environment. The Duty Manager, Food & Beverage also develops Performance Objectives and delivers Performance Evaluations for direct reports and assists with the implementation all new F&B or Bar Operations projects. Superior public relations and a professional manner must be exhibited at all times.
Duties and responsibilities for our next Shift Manager will include:
- Scheduling and supervising employees
- Assigning shift work assignments
- Monitoring cash outs and forwarding discrepancy reports to management/accounting
- Completing shift reports for management and for the next shift
- Directing the day-to-day activities of Food & Beverage employees
- Organizing and assisting with conducting monthly inventory count and forwarding inventory reports to management
- Assisting in maximizing the revenues of the outlet or bar while minimizing operating costs
- Developing and cultivating Great Experiences and Memories with all stakeholders (guests, ownership and employees)
- Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
- Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Successful Candidates Will Demonstrate The Following Qualifications
- Post-Secondary hospitality or hotel education or a suitable combination of education and experience
- SIR, Smart Serve or IGB Certificate
- Food Safe Level 1 & 2 Certificate
- Computer literacy in MS Office
- POS experience
- Minimum 1 year food and beverage team lead experience
- Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
- A commitment to continually increase your knowledge of our products and services in order to offer exceptional experiences to our guests
- A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development
