Summary

As a member of our Development team, the QA Analyst plays a pivotal role in upholding our commitment to outstanding quality in all products we design and produce. You'll develop and govern rigorous QA methodologies, devise robust testing frameworks, and champion the voice of the end-user in every project. Your comfort in navigating ambiguity and firm conviction in your professional judgments will guide us in consistently delivering superior products. This role needs to be performed from Vancouver, BC.

What You'll Do

You'll drive the quality assurance discipline for initiatives throughout WTC. You'll design and implement comprehensive testing frameworks, standardizing QA methodologies across the board. You'll oversee the testing of various software, websites, and web applications, ensuring each product meets our high-quality standards before being deployed.

You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to communicate defects, verify fixes, and provide valuable feedback throughout the creative process. With your strong understanding of web browser standards and trends, you'll help us anticipate challenges and stay ahead of the curve.

You'll use QA software and emulators like Litmus and BrowserStack to carry out detailed testing and provide reliable feedback. You'll also champion the voice of the end-user, validating their expectations in every testing process.

Responsibilities

  • Develop internal policies, guidelines, and testing frameworks to ensure consistent quality assurance practices.
  • Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports across multiple projects of varying sizes.
  • Conduct functional, usability, and exploratory testing activities for websites, digital advertising, and email campaigns.
  • Validate that user expectations are met during the testing process.
  • Identify, record, replicate, and communicate defects to project teams.
  • Verify, retest, and perform regression testing tasks.
  • Test across a variety of operating systems, email clients, display modes, and screen sizes.
  • Triage issues as they arise, providing efficient and effective solutions.
  • Sign off on products, certifying readiness for deployment.
  • Provide insightful product feedback throughout the creative process to improve final product quality.

Skills and Proficiencies

  • 4+ years of experience in a development and quality assurance testing environment working with QA software and emulators such as Litmus and BrowserStack.
  • Clear and confident understanding of web browser standards, trends, challenges, and nuances.
  • Demonstrable experience testing websites, web applications, and emails.
  • Experience working collaboratively with digital creative teams.
  • Expertise in performance, security, and accessibility testing.
  • Excellent time and priority management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills, able to effectively relay defects and provide constructive feedback to project teams.
  • Successful candidates will have experience in managing sensitive information, underscored by a clear understanding of and adherence to confidentiality and data protection principles.
