The Role: Electrification / Fitter Technician
As a key member of our rail maintenance and machinery operations team, you'll be responsible for maintaining and operating critical electrification and traction systems on our fleet of railbound track maintenance machines. Your work will directly support the reliability, safety, and performance of our rail equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing and preventative maintenance on rail-bound plant and machinery.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults in electrification and traction systems.
- Operate infrastructure maintenance machinery safely and efficiently.
- Support machine deployment, assess return condition, and report on performance issues.
- Communicate maintenance status clearly and timely with the wider technical team.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified tradesperson: Electrical or Mechanical Fitter Certification (required).
- Hands-on experience: In rail systems, traction power, rolling stock, or tunnel-based plant.
- Problem solver: Confident diagnosing faults and ensuring rapid resolution.
- Team player: Works well independently and within a dynamic operations crew.
- Flexible worker: Willingness to work across shifts, weekends, and travel as needed.
