About the role
We are looking for an experienced Senior CNC Machinist to join our production team. This position plays a key role in programming, setting up, operating, and inspecting CNC equipment to manufacture components that meet precise specifications. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical proficiency, leadership capabilities, and a proactive mindset focused on process improvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, and multi-axis machines, to produce precision parts.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and apply GD&T standards effectively.
- Create and edit CNC programs using G-code, M-code, and CAM tools such as Mastercam or Fusion 360.
- Conduct in-process inspections using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMMs to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Lead complex setups and troubleshoot production issues, collaborating with engineering teams on process enhancements.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior machinists and support production scheduling and workflow.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and quality standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance and address machine issues as needed.
- Continuously optimize machining strategies to improve efficiency and tool longevity.
Qualifications:
- Red Seal Machinist Certification required.
- 5 to 10 years of hands-on experience in CNC machining, ideally within high-precision or aerospace sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of machining methods, materials, tooling, and cutting dynamics.
- Proficient in blueprint reading and application of GD&T principles.
- Skilled in CNC programming using G-code and CAM software.
- Competent with a range of precision measuring instruments.
- Strong analytical skills, high attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Demonstrated communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities.

Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
