We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Craft Winery Assistant Student to join our team and contribute to our growing business.
Job Description:
We are looking for a motivated student with a passion for craft beverages and customer service to assist in the day-to-day operations of our winery for the upcoming Fall Semester. The initial work placement will consist of a 16-18 week term with full time hours and the possibility of extension. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the craft beverage industry and learn about the production and retail processes of a leading edge winery.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in marketing and promotional activities to attract and educate customers.
- Assist with the production of craft beverages, including wine, beer, and other fermented products.
- Support the setup and maintenance of the brewing and fermentation equipment.
- Help educate customers about our brew-on-site services and assist them in the beverage-making process.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with restocking supplies as needed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the production and retail areas.
- Assist with customer service tasks, including greeting customers, answering inquiries, and processing sales.
Requirements:
- To be enrolled in post secondary school for the upcoming Semester(s).
- Strong interest in craft beverages and the production process.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Supervision and Monitoring:
- Daily supervision and hands-on guidance from experienced staff members.
- Regular check-ins to discuss progress, provide feedback, and address any challenges.
- Performance monitoring through daily and weekly reporting on tasks and projects.
- Evaluation of contributions based on customer feedback and operational efficiency.
