Medical Arts Centre is a well-managed physician-owned and operated practice committed to delivering high-quality healthcare services to our community. We take pride in our friendly neighborhood location, which provides convenient access to an array of restaurants, shops, and public transit. Medical Arts is a state-of-the-art facility, which enjoys state-of-the- art electronic medical records Intrahealth Profile. Patients are able to book appointments online with Accession. Our clinic, adjacent to a pharmacy and physiotherapy center, boasts a spacious shared office area and a comfortable lunchroom for our dedicated healthcare professionals. Medical Arts Centre is an Island Health contracted Urgent care center that remains seven days per week making it the only clinic in town that provides same day walk-in service to over 100,000 residents of Nanaimo and beyond!

Our innovative hybrid model enables our 16 Family Physicians (FPs) and one Nurse Practitioner (NP) to offer both traditional in-office visits and virtual consultations from the comfort of your home, thanks to our advanced tele-medicine capabilities.

At Medical Arts, we prioritize work-life balance and provide a supportive environment with a strong team of 10 Medical Office Assistants (MOAs), three Registered Nurses (RNs) and allied health staff including a Pharmacist, Mental Health Counselors, Social Workers and a team of 10-15 locum physicians.

Nanaimo, population 103,500, is a growing and vibrant urban centre situated on the east coast of Vancouver Island, located approximately 100 kilometers north of Victoria and offers excellent access via commercial flights, float plane or ferry to Vancouver. The community offers a wide variety of cultural and educational opportunities including the 800 seat waterfront Port Theatre, the Vancouver Island University and is adjacent renowned private schools.

Nanaimo is the outdoor enthusiasts’ paradise, providing year round access to a wide array of recreational activities including kayaking, kite boarding, windsurfing, mountain biking, hiking, running and golfing.
