Job Purpose:
To manage internal and external audits and compliance process; To build and improve the operation process for mitigating risk and maintain efficiency; To achieve the key performance indicators at optimum levels
Area of Responsibility

Manage and coordinate internal and external audits
-
Meet Compliance and Regulatory requirements for the business including RCM, ERA, CSA, SOAX compliance & Operational Risk Assessment

Perform self-assessment and review on the mortgage portfolio as mandated by the Bank’s Compliance, Risk Management, Legal and Finance
-
Report risk associated data (such as Ops Risk KRI, arrears report, loss or near miss data, suspicious transactions, fraud, etc.,) to the Risk Management, Compliance and Corporate Security in a timely manner

Manage mortgage portfolio as per the approved PAC note and enhance the process and procedures to ensure effective controls are in place with optimum efficiency

Seek internal and external approvals from various committees such as MC, Outsourcing, PAC etc. prior to rolling out products/process and manage annual reviews of PAC notes, Outsourcing Committee notes etc.

Identify, manage and report mortgage fraud incidence, suggest improvement on the operational process and arrange trainings for fraud prevention and awareness

Understand the market practices, monitoring the changes from the peers and make timely suggestions to enhance the product, program, underwriting, fulfilment and funding process.

Manage the key performance indicators in mortgage renewals, retain the mortgages in the target segment and refer the opportunities of non-target segment to the strategic partner; identify any trends per business segments and make recommendations to maintain the indicators at target level.

Coordinate with closing centre to manage the process flow, standard documents, programs and services in order to meet the regulatory requirements and adhere to the outsourcing policy

Handle and resolve customer service request, escalation, complaints and manage the regulatory reporting as per the Complaint Handling Policy

Coordinate with service providers to manage mortgage default, insurer claims process, write-off and report to senior management

Manage the broker enrollment & review process

Manage vendor relationships, process implementations, etc.

Manage the funding process of residential mortgages
-
Cover other work areas within the team as necessary

Maintain all relevant records as mandated by the Record Retention Policy of the Bank

Review and update the Business Continuity Plan and perform testing on a periodic basis as mandated

Other duties and responsibilities as assigned from time to time by the reporting manager.
