Position Title: Security Guard, Part-Time Weekends (Toronto Campus)
**Work Hours:**Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Available: ASAP

We are currently looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Security Guard. In this challenging position, you will report to the Manager, Maintenance and Security, and be responsible for providing a safe and secure environment in a manner that will contribute to a friendly and invitational atmosphere to all visitors, staff, faculty, students and members of the naturopathic community. Specifically, the Security Guard will be responsible for providing security service at the Colleges’ facilities, including fire alarm monitoring, security and access control, classroom setup, snow removal/shoveling, parking services, enforcement of CCNM rules and regulations and administrative work etc. The successful candidate will also be responsible for administrative work related to referencing, filing and sorting materials.
This position will also work additional hours to cover absences or peak operational periods as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License is required
- Police Foundations or Law and Security Diploma is an asset
- Training in use of force, First Aid and CPR is required
- Experience managing Keyscan product Software and working with MS Office applications is an asset
- Demonstrates knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act, basic law and security procedures and citizen powers of arrest
- Computer literacy in all range of administrative support programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to work with alarm systems, computers, fire procedures & systems and access control devices and CCTV
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively– both orally and in writing- with individuals at all levels within the organization
- Skilled in recalling and effectively relaying information re: building layout, personnel contact information and organizational services and statistics
- Successful candidates are required to complete of a criminal record check
- Tact, discretion and ability to exercise professional judgment in a highly confidential environment
