We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Actuarial Analyst or Senior Actuarial Analyst to join our Commercial Pricing team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Data & Insight team to deliver high-quality, actionable insights that drive profitable growth in commercial insurance.
What you'll do
- Develop and present performance reports to support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze large datasets to uncover trends and provide valuable business insights.
- Apply data visualization, statistical analysis, and financial modeling techniques.
- Manage, clean, and optimize complex datasets for performance and accuracy.
- Contribute to the development of a multi-year roadmap for performance monitoring.
- Design and implement new performance reports to track emerging trends in pricing.
- Transition existing reports into Qlik applications.
- Understand business needs and translate them into clear analytical requirements.
- Establish and maintain regular monitoring processes, continuously improving them for efficiency and accuracy.
- Adapt models and techniques to evolving business requirements, products, and data structures.
What you'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
- 1+ years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance, preferably in Business Intelligence or Reporting.
- 2 to 5 CAS exams completed.
- Proficiency in Python, MS Access, SAS, and VBA is an asset.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Technical expertise in pricing and predictive analytics.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo and influence change.
