The Ministry of Justice is responsible for providing a fair justice system that upholds the law and protects the rights of all individuals in Saskatchewan; promotes safe and secure communities; and provides legal and justice policy advice to assist government.
The Public Guardian and Trustee of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly organized, energetic individual with excellent organizational and prioritization skills to perform administrative duties and accounting in the Accounting Unit. In this position, you will be responsible for performing receptionist duties, administrative duties such as opening, scanning and distributing of mail to the staff, performing pre-audit functions on client expenditures, processing and recording expenditures and income.
Our candidate of choice will have accounting knowledge with strong computer skills, knowledge of office and filing procedures, the knowledge and ability to prepare and compose correspondence using clear and concise language, and experience processing transactions in a high-volume processing environment.
You must be able to reference, interpret and apply regulations and policies as required. Typically, the knowledge, competencies and experience required for this position is obtained through completion of formal diploma level education in accounting or business administration with related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
We are looking for a candidate that can work independently but also as a team player. You will exhibit leadership and professionalism and be responsible and accountable.
