Reporting to and under the direction of the Supervisor of Facilities (Community Centres), the Attendant I - Maintenance is responsible for:
- cleaning and general maintenance/repair of the facility;
- set-up and clean-up for rental/permit groups;
- providing customer service and responding to the needs of the public and rental organizations;
- facility supervision and operational responsibility, including providing leadership and direction to junior employees including job specific training, guidance and division of responsibilities, completion of daily maintenance management records, responsibility for opening and closing the facility and operating building security system and performing checks on all emergency systems;
- mitigating risks and ensuring the safety of all users and staff within the facility;
- other duties as may be assigned.

What You Bring To Our Team
The successful applicant must possess:
- a Secondary School Graduation Diploma;
- a minimum of six (6) months related experience, including: building maintenance and cleaning, event set-up and clean-up, building equipment repair, customer service and operational responsibility of facilities;
- current Standard First Aid and C.P.R. “C” certifications;
- the ability to use tools and equipment properly and safely;
- the ability to lift heavy objects;
- a valid, satisfactory police criminal record check to work with the vulnerable sector.
Salary Range/Hourly rate:
$20.52 - $22.84
