Team Mission:
Our Credit Risk team ensures the long-term health and performance of our lending portfolio. We use advanced analytics to monitor portfolio trends, forecast losses, and drive collections strategies. Our goal is to maintain a resilient portfolio through proactive risk management and data-driven decision-making.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Director of Credit Risk & Collections, the Senior Manager of Portfolio Risk Management will lead efforts to monitor portfolio performance, develop loss forecasting models, and optimize collections strategies. You will play a critical role in identifying emerging risks, implementing controls, and supporting business decisions with robust analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of loss forecasting models and stress testing frameworks to assess portfolio resilience under various economic scenarios.
- Lead collections analytics and modeling to improve recovery rates and optimize treatment strategies.
- Monitor portfolio performance metrics and develop dashboards and reports for senior leadership.
- Identify emerging risks and recommend policy or operational changes to mitigate potential losses.
- Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Sales & Ops teams to ensure alignment of risk appetite and performance goals.
- Lead system migration initiatives and deployment of changes in portfolio management strategies, including the design, testing, and implementation of loan management and performance platforms.
- Support regulatory and audit requirements through documentation and validation of risk models and controls.
Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in portfolio risk management, credit analytics, or related roles in financial services or fintech.
- Strong background in loss forecasting, stress testing, and collections analytics.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Experience implementing loan management platforms; demonstrated experience in system migration design, testing, and implementation.
- MBA or equivalent business experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration.
