About the role
The Quality/Business Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of products and services by conducting thorough testing and analysis. This role involves identifying defects, suggesting improvements, and collaborating with various teams to enhance overall efficiency. The Quality/Business Analyst will also work closely with business and operation stakeholders to elicit and document business and technical requirements for various projects/platforms.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with business and operational stakeholders to understand their needs and gather/document business and technical requirements.
- Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive testing to identify defects.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Perform manual and automated testing to ensure the functionality, performance, and security of products.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and customer support, to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Communicate test results, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Analyze data and generate reports on quality metrics and trends.
- Identify root causes of defects and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor and track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and test coverage.
- Document quality assurance processes and procedures.
The skills you bring
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Ability to effectively communicate and influence key stakeholders and support proposed strategies.
- Experience testing in an agile environment leveraging a variety of testing tools.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Java, JavaScript, JSON, XML, CSS or HTML is an asset.
- Proficiency in testing REST APIs with tools like Postman, or similar.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
