What Will You Do?
As a Mechatronics Engineer at PMI, you’ll play a vital role at the intersection of physics, control theory, and practical engineering. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex theoretical concepts into robust, real-world systems. You’ll be central to the design, modeling, and implementation of new products and advanced control algorithms that drive our precision magnetic levitation platforms. Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, you’ll help bring next-generation motion solutions from concept to reality.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
· Design and implement advanced control systems for multi-axis magnetic levitation platforms.
· Develop mathematical models for dynamic systems and motion control.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and design new products and features.
· Simulate, prototype, and test control strategies in both software and hardware environments.
· Analyze system performance and optimize for stability, accuracy, and responsiveness.
· Contribute to code development for embedded systems or real-time control platforms.

Qualifications:
· Strong, demonstrated problem-solving skills
· Solid fundamentals in dynamic system modeling, classical and modern control theory
· Experience with programming (e.g. Python, C/C++)
· Hands-on experience with control system implementation and testing
· Bachelors, Masters, or Doctoral degrees in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, Engineering Physics, or equivalent, with a proven record of excellence in engineering.
Desirable Skills:
· Experience with real-time systems and motion control applications
· Knowledge of magnetic or electromechanical systems

Compensation Range
The hiring range for this role is $60K - $200K annually. Our ranges are based on market data, and offered salaries will be based on a combination of factors including, but not limited to, the successful candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
